If you're dealing with counterfeit products, copied listings, unauthorised sellers or trademark infringement online, we'd love to meet you.
On Friday 31 July, the IP Moat team will be hosting a free drop-in session at the Business & IP Centre (BIPC) at Thetford Library. Whether you're an inventor, entrepreneur, ecommerce business or established brand, this is an opportunity to ask questions about the challenges you're facing and receive practical guidance on protecting your intellectual property online.
No presentation, no formal agenda, just an opportunity to discuss your challenges, share experiences, and receive expert advice in a relaxed setting.

What Can We Help With?
Every week we speak to businesses that have spent years developing products, building brands and growing their reputation, only to discover counterfeit products or copied listings appearing online.
During the session we can discuss topics including:
- Counterfeit products on online marketplaces.
- Marketplace reporting processes.
- Practical enforcement strategies for online infringement.
- Which intellectual property rights can support takedown requests.
- Trademark infringement.
- Copyright infringement, including copied product images and listing content.
- Patent infringement on ecommerce platforms.
- Unauthorised sellers.
Whether you're dealing with a single listing or a widespread infringement issue across multiple marketplaces, we can provide advice based on our professional experience of removing thousands of online listings per month.
What is the Business & IP Centre?
The Business & IP Centre (BIPC) is a nationwide network led by the British Library, working in partnership with the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) to help people start, grow and protect their businesses. Through more than 70 libraries across the UK, the BIPC provides free access to business support, market research, intellectual property guidance, workshops and expert advice. Each year, the network supports over 40,000 entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses.
We're delighted to be working alongside the BIPC to bring this specialist brand protection advice to businesses in Norfolk.
A Pilot for Future Events
This session marks the first in what we hope will become a wider programme of face-to-face support across the UK.
Working with the Business & IP Centre, we're piloting this drop-in format to give local businesses easier access to practical advice on protecting their intellectual property online. If it's well received, we hope to roll out similar sessions at additional BIPC locations in the future.
