Our goal is to help you safeguard your IP while introducing you to the wider capabilities of IP Moat.
We scan a range of around 6-10 key marketplaces for counterfeit products including Amazon, eBay, Etsy, AliExpress, Temu, and Alibaba. The aim is to give you an idea of the size of the problem and where your greatest threats are. We alter the marketplaces that we search in the report based on your industry, product types and the scale and reach of the counterfeits.
You'll create a free IP Moat account, submit links to your products, and provide details about any of your intellectual property (e.g. trademarks or designs) for us to scan.
No paid IP (such as a trademark or patent) is required for the audit.
- If your products are an expression of art (e.g. a decoration, jewellery, etc), your designs will be covered under copyright law.
- If your products are functional (e.g. anything that is not an expression of art), we can still protect your listing photography under copyright law.
You can enter an unlimited number of products into your IP Moat account. A minimum of 1 product is required for the audit.
We begin the audit with your best selling product as these are the most likely to be targeted by counterfeiters. We will continue reviewing more products until we have enough information to gauge the scale and reach of the issues you are facing and to produce an action plan.
