You have found your product on the online marketplace Joom. The product or the listing has been copied from your original and it has found its way on to this site. Don't Panic, we're here to guide you through the take down process and get those counterfeit listings under control.
Joom.com has an email based method to report counterfeit or copied listings. Follow the steps below to compose your email to sent to Joom.
Steps to File a Counterfeit Report on Joom
Send your email to: ipr@joom.com
Within your email you will need to include the following:
- You have spotted an infringement of your product on the platform.
- Give the name of the Intellectual Property (IP) Owner.
- Give the reporters information (that is you, if you are sending the email). Your will need to include your Name and Title, Email Address and Phone Number.
- You need to now include a list of the Allegedly Infringing Material. These are your infringing Joom listings in the form of a URL.
- You now need to list the reason you believe that this listing infringes on your IP.
- The next thing you need to add is the links to your IP documents that you are using to prove you own the intellectual property of this listing.
- Finally you need a declaration that the information you have submitted is correct and sign the email off with your name. The statement below can be used here:
I have a good faith belief that this product has been copied, manufactured and sold without authorisation from us, YOUR COMPANY NAME. We claim that all the information in this claim is accurate.
Joom does often take a while to reply however they are effective in removing the items in question if, after reviewing the case, they believe that the listing does infringe on previous IP.
