How to Submit a Takedown Request on OnBuy
Send your email to: productviolation@onbuy.com
Within your email you will need to include the following:
- You have spotted an infringement of your product on the platform.
- Give the name of the Intellectual Property (IP) Owner.
- Give the reporters information (that is you, if you are sending the email). Your will need to include your Name and Title, Email Address and Phone Number.
- You need to now include a list of the Allegedly Infringing Material. These are your infringing OnBuy listings. This should in in the form of OnBuy's OPCs (OPCs are OnBuy's individual listing codes). These can be found at the bottom of a listing in the 'Description and Details'. On the right in this section there is a table with the title 'Details'. The OPC is shown here. The OPC usually starts with PB.
- You now need to list the reason you believe that this listing infringes on your IP.
- The next thing you need to add is the links to your IP documents that you are using to prove you own the intellectual property of this listing.
- Finally you need a declaration that the information you have submitted is correct and sign the email off with your name. The statement below can be used here:
I have a good faith belief, and do solemnly and sincerely declare, that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the Intellectual Property Owner, its agent, or the law. The information in this Notice of Claimed Infringement is accurate, and under penalty of perjury.
